(PUEBLO, Colo.) — Free vaccinations for Hepatitis, chickenpox, HPV, and COVID-19 are being offered at the Helping Hands Community Fair at St. Mary-Corwin Hospital at 1008 Minnequa Avenue in Pueblo on Wednesday, July 3.
The Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment’s Disease Control and Public Health Response Division’s Health Equity Branch is hosting the vaccination clinic, which is the latest addition to the event held on the first Wednesday of every month. Roughly 250 people attend Helping Hands every month.
Vaccinations are offered from 10 a.m. for as long as supplies last, but if you miss your chance on July 3, the free vaccinations will continue to be offered at the Helping Hands event every month.
“Our goal is to provide a hand up for those in our community who need assistance,” said Sal Katz, director of Mt. Carmel Veterans Service Center’s Southern Colorado operations. “We are not doing this event solely for veterans; anyone in Pueblo who needs help can come to the event. The vaccination services are also open to anyone who needs protection against diseases.
