Garden of the Gods Park closed to cars

(COLORADO SPRINGS) — Garden of the Gods Park has been closed to cars since Thursday and remained closed on Friday, Nov. 8.

Colorado Springs Parks, Recreation and Cultural Services posted that the park was closed to vehicle traffic on Thursday, and said asked visitors not to park along the road or in restricted areas.

Parks and Rec said Lot 1 remains open for pedestrian access, so anyone wishing to explore the wintery wonderland can do so on foot. And the weather certainly didn’t stop some avid adventurers spotted out in the park by our FOX21 crew on Friday.
