(FALCON, Colo.) — The Falcon Fire Department (FFD) issued a shelter-in-place in the area of Meridian Road on Friday, July 26.

The fire department advises the community to stay inside if they are within a mile and a half in the Meridian Road and Rex Road areas. Roads in the immediate areas are shut down, motorists should avoid the area.

Individuals may smell natural gas, FFD said there is no immediate threat and crews are working to mitigate the leak.
