(COLORADO SPRINGS) — On Thursday, April 11, the Humane Society of Pikes Peak Region (HSPPR) posted a real-life fairy tale about a little lost goblin who finally found his way home after eight months in a not-so-far-away land.
Goblin, a fluffy black cat with emerald eyes, went on a little neighborhood walk in August of 2023, when he strayed from the path, leaving his brokenhearted family wondering what had happened to their favorite furry little monster.
But Goblin wasn’t really very far from home at all. He found shelter under a kind neighbor’s porch, only .2 miles away. The owners of his sanctuary tended to him while he tarried, until one fateful day when they carried him to the shelter in hopes of learning his backstory.
HSPPR scanned the wayward feline and learned he was indeed a lost Goblin, and that his story could have a happy ending. Both of his owners were listed, and they were overjoyed to be reunited with their long-lost familiar.
Goblin and his family can now live happily ever after.
The moral of the story, boys and girls, is to always microchip your little imps, so that you too may have a happy ending.
