(COLORADO SPRINGS) — The Colorado Springs Police Department (CSPD) said citizens were able to render aid to occupants of a single-vehicle crash until medical professionals arrived in the evening hours of Sunday, May 12.
According to CSPD, on Sunday, a little after 9 p.m. police received calls reporting a single-vehicle crash in the 1400 block of North Nevada Avenue a little north of downtown.
Police reported a driver and two passengers had exited the vehicle and those living in the area and passing through rendered aid until medical personnel arrived. All of the occupants of the vehicle were taken to the hospital and were treated for serious injuries.
CSPD said the on-scene investigation indicated the vehicle was traveling north when it left the roadway and hit a tree. Police are considering alcohol or drugs as factors in the crash. The driver, later identified as Aaron Rock, was taken into custody by CSPD.
