(COLORADO SPRINGS) — It’s the time of year for spooky fun and haunted houses, but there’s one in Colorado Springs that is frightening folks for a good cause. Ben Skee, owner of First Strike Krav Maga, is bringing back his annual haunted gardens and Rocky Mountain Picture Show, led by friendly skeleton residents.
The picture show runs nightly from Oct. 18 to Nov. 1, and the “Haunted Garden Nights” take place Oct. 25, 26, 31, and Nov. 1. The events are family-friendly and feature spooky delights for all to enjoy at Skee’s home in the Old North End at 1424 N. Wahsatch Ave.
Admission is free, but donations are being collected for TESSA. A suggested donation is $5 per person or $20 per family. Donations can also be made at the website above.
“We use this as a way to raise funds for TESSA and support them, someone who supports our community, unfortunately, more than we tend to want to believe we need,” said Skee.
Skee joined FOX21 Morning News on Tuesday, Oct. 14, to talk about what people can expect and the new additions this year.
