The shooting stemmed from some sort of “road rage interaction” with the three bikers while they were traveling on Flagstaff Road toward Boulder.

A sheriff’s office spokesperson confirmed to FOX31 the man was not struck by any bullets and did not suffer any injuries in the incident.

While the Boulder officers were talking to the man, he pointed out the motorcyclists passing their location, and officers attempted to stop them.

They didn’t stop, and a pursuit started as they traveled toward Denver on U.S. 36.

The sheriff’s office joined in the pursuit as the group neared Superior; it then went into Broomfield near Flatiron Crossing, and the motorcyclists eluded law enforcement in that area.

The sheriff’s office is searching for information that could lead to identifying the motorcyclists, as well as a vehicle of interest that met with the group before the shooting at Panorama Point near the 1000 block of Flagstaff Road.
