(EL PASO COUNTY, Colo.) — The Colorado State Patrol (CSP) is asking for the public’s help identifying a vehicle believed to be involved in a hit-and-run crash that seriously injured a bicyclist in El Paso County on Monday, Jan. 22.
According to CSP, a 34-year-old man was riding his bike near the right shoulder fog line going south near 13610 Old Pueblo Road, south of Fountain and just east of I-25 on Monday, when a vehicle, also traveling south, hit the bicyclist.
According to CSP, the driver left the scene and the man who was hit was taken to the hospital with serious injuries. CSP said the vehicle is believed to be a dark 2006-2013 Chevrolet Impala and should have damage to the front right corner and headlight.
