(COLORADO SPRINGS) — This week, FOX21 Morning News and the Humane Society of the Pikes Peak Region (HSPPR) are featuring Axel, a four-year-old Akita mix that came into HSPPR as an owner surrender.

HSPPR said Axel has a lot of energy and will do best in a home that can exercise him each day. He loves to run around, play with balls, and hang out with people. Axel already knows sit, shake, and down. He has experience around children and other dogs and did great! With his energy, Axel can be pushy so HSPPR said he may do best with another energetic dog and slow introductions.

Axel’s adoption fee is $25, which includes a voucher for a free vet exam, vaccinations, and a microchip. He is already neutered and is ready to go home immediately.
