(COLORADO SPRINGS) — This week, FOX21 Morning News and the Humane Society of Pikes Peak (HSPPR) are featuring Martin, a 7-year-old Anatolian Shepherd Mix that came into the shelter as a stray.

Martin can be shy and needs patience when being introduced to new things. Like many humans, Martin is not a fan of invasive handling and would do best in a mature home. His adoption fee is $25, which includes a voucher for a veterinarian exam, vaccinations, and microchip — Martin is neutered.

This gentle giant has only had one visit to the shelter. Anyone can visit Martin at HSPPR, located at 610 Abbot Lane. While Martin can be shy, he loves pupperoni treats and graduated from the behavior modification program.

The program works with pets to learn more about their history and provides them with an opportunity for adoption. The goal: to get them into their forever home.
