(COLORADO SPRINGS) — This week, FOX21 Morning News and the Humane Society of the Pikes Peak Region (HSPPR) are featuring Smucker, an eight-year-old Boxer mix that came into the shelter as an owner surrender.

HSPPR said Smucker is a curious pup who loves spending time with staff and volunteers, especially if that means going on a walk. He has a great nose and enjoys treats and chin scratches. Smucker came from a home with several other dogs and may need a little time to adjust to his surroundings as well as slow introductions.

Smucker’s adoption fee is free thanks to a generous donation. It still includes a voucher for a veterinarian exam, vaccinations, a microchip, and he is already neutered.
