(COLORADO SPRINGS) — This week, FOX21 Morning News and the Humane Society of the Pikes Peak Region (HSPPR) are featuring Toby, a three year-old minature poodle that came into HSPPR as an owner surrender.
HSPPR said Toby is a sweet boy who is on an adoption consult so it can be certain that he goes to the right home because he can be fearful and doesn’t like certain parts of his body, like his tail, touched. Toby also displays some barrier reactivity in the kennel but HSPPR staff and volunteers have been working with Toby and he is making progress. Barrier reactivity is an overreaction, such as barking or growling, to certain barriers that impede vision and/or movement like fences, windows, or doors.
Toby’s adoption fee is $150 which includes a voucher for a free vet exam, vaccinations, and a microchip. He is already neutered and is ready to go home immediately.
