DENVER (KDVR) — Former reality TV star Honey Boo Boo got into a crash in Denver on Friday, according to a social media post from her celebrity mother, Mama June.

Mama June, whose real name is June Shannon, said that her daughter Honey Boo Boo, or Alana Thompson — was T-boned by a car while she was pulling out of the driveway to get her hair done.

In the accompanying video, she said that she had to give credit where credit was due to the 23-year-old boy who allegedly ran into the car of Thompson, as he admitted he was speeding and going 40 miles per hour.

“Alana Thompson is 23 hours away, but she is following her dreams when you get that phone call and your stomach drops, and all you can hear is someone hollering,” said Shannon in the post.

This was the first time that Thompson had ever been in a car crash, her mother said.

She ended up being a little bit banged up, but is okay and at home resting.

After her stardom in childhood, Thompson moved to Denver to pursue neonatal nursing at Regis University. Her mother said that she was set to start her first day of clinicals, a day after the crash, but would see how she felt in the morning to make a decision.

Her mother reported that she was immediately on the way to Denver to help her daughter and get her a rental car.
