(COLORADO SPRINGS) — A 36-year-old man was arrested after allegedly kicking a police officer at the hospital while the suspect received care.

According to the Colorado Springs Police Department (CSPD), the officer was kicked by a hospital patient on Monday morning, Nov. 18, around 9:30 a.m.

CSPD said the officer received minor injuries and is expected to return to duty.

The patient, 36-year-old Alexander Mills, was booked into the El Paso County Justice Center for the assault and other charges, CSPD reported.
