(DENVER) — With another spring storm moving into Colorado this week, snow during the Colorado Rockies’ Home Opener on Friday, April 4, might be a possibility for baseball fans at Coors Field.
FOX21 News reached out to the National Weather Service Denver/Boulder to see how many times it has snowed during the Rockies’ home openers and found out that there were a total of three:
1994: measurable snowfall reported
1995: measurable snowfall reported
2018: trace of snowfall reported
According to the FOX21 Storm Team, as of 5 p.m. on Wednesday, April 2, the current forecast for Denver on Friday is showing 2 to 4” of snow possible, with 2” most likely for downtown Denver.
The Rockies face the Oakland Athletics on Friday at 2:10 p.m.
