(PIKES PEAK REGION, Colo.) — The Humane Society of the Pikes Peak Region (HSPPR) has long been dedicated to helping pets and their owners find their “Happy Tails.” Sometimes there can be some bumps in the road of pet ownership, so HSPPR has started a new Behavior Helpline to help owners work through the challenges.
On Friday, March 7, HSPPR announced the new service on social media, noting that behavior struggles, such as excessive barking, food guarding, or chewing on shoes can be frustrating, overwhelming, and even isolating, but that working through those issues can help strengthen the bond between pet and owner.
Owners can schedule a free, 25-minute consultation with one of HSPPR’s expert behavior specialists who can provide personalized advice and resources to help guide pet pups to better habits, whether the issue is minor mischief or more serious challenges.
Those who are interested can click on the link at the top of the page to book a consultation. Currently, only dog behavior appointments are available, but cat consultations are coming soon.
