Kimberlee Singler extradition hearing underway in London

(LONDON) — The extradition hearing for Kimberlee Singler, the mother accused of killing her two children, 7-year-old Aden Wentz and 9-year-old Eliana “Ellie” Wentz, in Colorado Springs in December 2023, began on Tuesday, Sept. 3 in London, and is scheduled to conclude on Friday, Sept. 6, according to FBI Denver.

A warrant was issued for Singler on multiple counts of Murder, Child Abuse, and Attempted Murder, leading to her arrest in the UK on Dec. 30.

On Dec. 18, the Colorado Springs Police Department (CSPD) responded to a call about a burglary and once officers arrived on the scene at a Stetson Hills condo, they found the bodies of the two children, as well as an injured 11-year-old and Singler.

Singler was sent to the hospital with minor injuries but disappeared shortly after.

When the original burglary call was discovered to be false, Singler was identified as a suspect, and CSPD began searching for her. Later, she was discovered and arrested in the UK.
