(PUEBLO, Colo.) — Dog lovers in Pueblo will have the chance to hang out together with their pups for a community dog walk at the Historic Arkansas Riverwalk on July 10th, from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.
The 1st Dog Days of Summer Community Dog Walk, hosted by The Greater Pueblo Chamber of Commerce & Visit Pueblo, is the main event for Pueblo Dog Week—a campaign for Visit Pueblo, to show visitors and locals the dog-friendly amenities of Pueblo.
Mayor Heather Graham and “First Dog” Lucy will lead the Community Dog Walk. Local vendors and pet-based organizations will have booths set up along the Riverwalk, giving out treats and helpful information. PAWS for Life Animal Shelter of Pueblo will also be there, showing off a bunch of adorable, adoptable doggos.
Restaurants along the riverwalk will be offering special discounts and treats for participants in the Community Dog Walk. The walk is not structured; pets and their owners will be welcome to roam the Riverwalk at their own pace.
The event is free and open to the public.
