Life Network opens second thrift store in Falcon

(FALCON, Colo.) — Life Network, a local non-profit, is celebrating the opening of its second Family Thrift Store, on Saturday, Jan. 25, located on the east side of El Paso County.

Located off Meridian Road across from the Walmart in Falcon, the store carries gently used and like-new clothing and other items for women, men, and children, as well as electronics, furniture, and more.

The store’s goal is to provide quality affordable goods and make a difference in the community at the same time. Proceeds from the store will benefit Life Network’s mission of serving families in Southern Colorado, with services such as free pregnancy care, parenting mentorship, and counseling.

“Every day at our four pregnancy centers, we’re meeting men and women who are facing unexpected pregnancies,” said Rich Bennett President and CEO of Life Network. “And part of the way we serve them is providing them [with] material resources, and there are credits at our thrift store. And until now they’ve had to drive a little bit to get to our closest thrift store, but now it’s right across the parking lot.”

The Family Thrift Store in Falcon is now open Monday through Saturday 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.
