Local chefs compete for charity at Eleven18’s fusion taco restaurant

(COLORADO SPRINGS) — Chef/Owner of Eleven18, Beto Reyes, is cooking up some serious competition among local chefs, and it’s all for a great cause.

Helping to kick off what will become a series of chef battles at Eleven18, a new upscale, fusion taco restaurant downtown, is Chef Janon Bourgeois of Chef Janon LLC. The two will compete against each other on Tuesday night, March 19, to make the best ceviche, and everyone who stops by will get to taste both chefs’ creations and judge who did it best.

Each customer who visits Eleven18 from 5 p.m. until close (10 p.m.) on Tuesday will receive a sample serving and both chef’s dishes will be featured as a menu item with a portion of the proceeds going to The Place, a local nonprofit that helps teens and other young people experiencing homelessness in Colorado Springs.

Chef Reyes said he hopes that the chef competitions create collaboration and community among local chefs and those living in Colorado Springs. Eleven18 is located at 26 South Wahsatch Avenue and more information can be found at the link above.
