(COLORADO SPRINGS) — Louie’s Pizza, a mainstay among pizza enthusiasts in Colorado Springs, has announced a return to its roots and an invitation to the founder of the pizzeria to come back and reinvigorate the original recipes.
In a press release, Louie’s said it would be returning to “the classic flavors and quality that made it a community favorite.” The restaurant also announced a new owner, Joshua Sales, following a brief change in ownership.
Louie’s also announced that an invitation had been extended to Louie Sciarrotta, the original founder of Louie’s Pizza, to help rejuvenate the pizzeria for a short time.
“Understanding the importance of Louie’s Pizza to our community is key,” said Sales. “Bringing Louie back is our way of honoring the tradition of this place while making sure we keep serving the delicious, high-quality pizza our customers expect and deserve.”
Louie’s said that the changes ahead were all about returning to the things that made Louie’s Pizza a local legend: real cheese and fresh toppings.
“To our loyal customers and those who’ve missed the true taste of Louie’s Pizza, we’re inviting you back to rediscover your favorites,” Louie’s Pizza said in its press release. “Whether you’ve been with us from the start or you’re new to the neighborhood, there’s never been a better time to enjoy the pizzas that make Louie’s a local treasure.”
