Major winter storm: Track weather in your neighborhood

(SOUTHERN COLORADO) — With a high-impact winter storm heading our way, you can track all of this weather and more on the new and improved FOX21 Storm Team Weather App.

Major winter storm still on track for Wednesday

The app allows users to receive weather in their neighborhoods, is free, and is offered for both Apple and Android devices. Users will only see information that is applicable to their location and videos directly from the weather center that are tailored to their preferences.

“Local, specific, and for you,” is how Chief Meteorologist Matt Meister describes the app, which can also be downloaded through newscasts on FOX21. On several occasions, those tuning in will be shown a QR code on the screen for them to capture on their cell phones.

Within the app, users can also explore hour-by-hour conditions, the extended forecast, radar, closings and delays, and even live weather cameras across Southern Colorado.

Users can also submit photos directly through the app for a chance to have their picture featured and used by the FOX21 Storm Team. Be sure to download the app today, to get the latest updates on the upcoming, major winter storm.

According to Matt, a Winter Storm Watch has been issued by the National Weather Service for late Tuesday, Feb. 14 through Wednesday, Feb. 15, as a significant winter storm eyes Southern Colorado.
