(MANITOU SPRINGS, Colo.) — The Manitou Springs Police Department (MSPD) has released the identity of the man found dead in the creek that runs parallel to Manitou Avenue.
According to MSPD, 60-year-old Lorenzo Tsosie was the victim of an apparent drowning on Aug. 3.
Officers with MSPD originally responded just before 6:30 a.m. on Saturday, Aug. 3 to a report of a person found in the creek behind the Subway sandwich shop on Manitou Avenue. When officers arrived, they found Tsosie dead.
No additional information has been released on the cause of the drowning, and MSPD said the investigation is ongoing. Anyone with information on this case is asked to contact police at (719) 685-5407.
