Man found shot in parked car in Pueblo identified

(PUEBLO, Colo.) — A man who was found injured in a parked car early Wednesday morning, Nov. 29 in Pueblo has been identified by the Pueblo County Coroner.

According to the Pueblo Police Department (PPD), officers originally responded just after 3:15 a.m. on Wednesday to a reported shooting in the area of Wheatridge Drive, west of Lake Minnequa. When officers arrived, they found a man, now identified as 22-year-old Angelo Isahia Rodgers, in a car parked on the street, suffering from serious injuries.

The Pueblo County Coroner said Rodgers was taken to the hospital where he was pronounced dead.

While the coroner will determine Rodgers’ official cause and manner of death, the case is being investigated as a homicide. As of Wednesday, no arrests had been made. This is the 23rd homicide in Pueblo for 2023.
