(COLORADO SPRINGS) — A man who was found dead following a disturbance on the north side of Colorado Springs has been identified.
According to the Colorado Springs Police Department (CSPD), officers originally responded shortly before 2 a.m. on Sunday, Oct. 27 to a report of a disturbance in the 11100 block of Cedar Glen View, northwest of the intersection of Interquest and Voyager Parkways. When officers arrived, they found 27-year-old Dominic Godinez dead on scene.
While the El Paso County Coroner’s Office will determine the official cause and manner of death, Godinez’s death is being investigated as a homicide.
Everyone involved in this investigation is accounted for, however no arrests have been made, CSPD said. The investigation is ongoing, and CSPD asked anyone with information or who may have been a witness to contact police at (719) 444-4000. This was the 37th homicide of 2024 in Colorado Springs. At the same time in 2023, there had been 27 homicides.
