Manitou Springs hosting ribbon cutting for park improvements

(MANITOU SPRINGS, Colo.) — On Monday, June 30, the City of Manitou Springs is celebrating the completion of phase two of its Soda Springs Park Master Plan with a ribbon cutting of the playground improvements.

The current Master Plan for Soda Springs Park was approved by City Council in June of 2023, and after a request for bids on design in April 2023 and construction in August 2024, the building of phase two started in November 2024.

According to Manitou Springs, the successful completion of this project reflects the City’s long-term commitment to enhancing public spaces and promoting recreational opportunities for residents and visitors alike. The playground’s new design prioritizes accessibility, safety, and creative play, offering a vibrant space for families to gather and enjoy.

The ribbon cutting ceremony will be held on Monday at 4:30 p.m., and the community is invited to join city officials, project partners, and local stakeholders.

Phase three is currently in the early design and concept development stage.
