(COLORADO SPRINGS) — The City of Colorado Springs has planned an overnight closure for Marksheffel Road starting Wednesday, April 30.
Marksheffel Road, from south of Stetson Hills Boulevard to north of Barnes Road, will be closed overnight starting April 30 through the weekend of Monday, May 5. Traffic will be closed from 7 p.m. to 5:30 a.m. and for the weekend starting at 7 p.m. on Friday until 5:30 a.m. on Monday, May 5.
Crews will plan to place six drainage pipes that require deep excavations across the road. The work also includes restriping a new traffic pattern. A detour route will direct Marksheffel Road traffic to Peterson Road between Stetson Hills Boulevard and Barnes Road.
The city explained that this work is weather-dependent, and the schedule may change. Individuals can text IMPROVE to 866-762-3640 to receive text alerts or call the project hotline (719)-645-4055 for the most up-to-date information.
