Mav and Goose Gives Back: Humane Society of the Pikes Peak Region

(SPONSORED) — As part of the Phil Long Ford in Motor City Mav & Goose Gives Back segment, FOX21 Storm Team Chief Meteorologist Matt Meister highlighted its latest contribution to the Southern Colorado community, which will benefit the Humane Society of the Pikes Peak Region (HSPPR).

“The Humane Society is so important to us with what they do every day for our animals and our community,” said Mark Barton, General Manager and Partner at Phil Long Ford in Motor City. “We have to give back. We have to jump in and be a part of the team.”

HSPPR is preparing for its signature fundraiser, Pawtoberfest, which will be held on Sept. 13, and FOX21 News Morning Anchor Abbie Burke and Chief Meteorologist Matt Meister will serve as the event’s emcees.

Jessica James, Vice President of Philanthropy at HSPPR, expressed excitement about the event, noting that it is a chance for animal lovers to come together and support the organization’s mission. “Our craft brews and beverage partners will be there giving samples and tastings, lots of kids’ activities, and just a chance to interact with wonderful sponsors,” she said.

Phil Long Ford in Motor City’s contribution is part of its broader charitable efforts, with plans to increase their donation next year. “Well, this year was, I think $50,000, and Goose and Mav have to sell some more cars because next year we’re going for six figures,” Barton said.
