(COLORADO SPRINGS) – Two seed Mesa Ridge (24-1) dominated Thomas Jefferson 68-47 on the way to yet another CHSAA Class 5A Great 8 for the reigning back-to-back state champs.

Sand Creek (20-6) came back in the fourth quarter in front of a raucous crowd at Cheyenne Mountain to complete another upset victory 59-57 on its first run to a Great 8, since 2014.

The Grizzlies next face Standley Lake, while the Scorpions will take on Green Mountain, on Friday at the Denver Coliseum.
