Mini-bike hits car, rider seriously injured

(COLORADO SPRINGS) — The rider of a mini-bike was taken to the hospital with life-threatening injuries after a crash in northern Colorado Springs in the evening hours of Sunday, June 15, according to the Colorado Springs Police Department (CSPD).

CSPD said on Sunday at around 6:50 p.m., officers were called to the intersection of Dublin and Union Boulevards on a report of a crash with serious injury. Initial reports to police indicated the rider of the mini-bike was operating on the roadway heading south on Union at Dublin and hit a car traveling east on Dublin.

Before police arrived, the driver of the mini-bike was taken to the hospital with life-threatening injuries. The driver of the car was not injured. The cause of the crash is under investigation.
