(COLORADO SPRINGS) — A minor suffered life-threatening injuries in a shooting on the southeast side of Colorado Springs on Wednesday, April 23.
According to the Colorado Springs Police Department (CSPD), officers responded to a reported shooting shortly before 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday in the 4900 block of Copper Springs View, just south of Airport Road and west of South Powers Boulevard.
CSPD said when officers arrived, they found a teen boy who had suffered a gunshot wound to his right hip. CSPD said the boy was “uncooperative” with officers and would not answer their questions.
The boy was taken to the hospital with life-threatening injuries. CSPD said the boy was in critical condition but was stable. The investigation into the shooting is ongoing.
