(MONUMENT, Colo.) — On Sunday, April 13, the Town of Monument shared the sad news that Monument council member Jim Romanello passed away.

According to the Monument Town council and staff, Romanello was “a valued colleague, a dedicated public servant, and a committed member of our community who brought passion and thoughtfulness to his role on the Town Council.”

Flags at all Town of Monument facilities will be flown at half-staff until Thursday, April 17, in honor of Romanello’s service and memory.

No further details on his death will be provided out of respect for the privacy of Romanello’s family.

“On behalf of the entire Town Council and staff, we extend our deepest condolences to Jim’s loved ones,” said the Town Council and Staff. “His contributions to Monument will not be forgotten, and we join our community in mourning his loss.”
