New affordable housing development supports low-income families

(COLORADO SPRINGS) — GPR properties hosted a grand opening and ribbon cutting, presenting the Bentley Commons apartments to the Pikes Peak Region on Tuesday, Oct. 7.

The property is located at 2715 Bentley Point in southeast Colorado Springs, near Hancock Expressway and Astrozon Boulevard. Bentley Commons has 24 renovated units and 168 newly constructed units, a renovated leasing office and clubhouse, as well as amenities throughout the property.

The goal is to provide housing stability for low income families through various impactful partnerships.

“We serve families that earn anywhere between 30 and 60% area’s median income,” said Nate Clyncke with Rocky Mountain Community Land Trust. “We also have 28 veteran Vash vouchers. So, formerly homeless veterans in our community now have a place to live.”

Construction began in early 2024, with the six new buildings coming online from March through September of 2025.
