(FOUNTAIN, Colo.) — On Wednesday, July 30, a new King Soopers store opened in Fountain off of Mesa Ridge Parkway, creating hundreds of jobs and bringing a pharmacy and gas station.

According to King Soopers, the new location will bring more than 250 new jobs to the Fountain community. The new location will also offer a variety of amenities, including fresh sushi, Murray’s Cheese, Starbucks, a pharmacy with drive-up service, pickup for ordering groceries online, and a gas station.

“King Soopers is a Colorado home-grown company. To be able to continue to open stores and be part of the fabric of the community is something we are so, so proud of,” said Ryan Peacock, VP of Merchandising at King Soopers.

King Soopers said the new location will relieve overcrowding at one of its existing stores off Constitution Avenue.
