(COLORADO SPRINGS) — A new shop is brewing up Downtown on Tejon Street, with its initial opening happening on Thursday, May 29.

The Best Coffee & Lounge will offer coffee, espresso drinks, and breakfast plates in the morning and will also offer sandwiches, light bites, wine, and cocktails in the afternoon. The newest spot on Tejon St will take over the former Wild Goose Meeting House location, at 401 N. Tejon Street.

Monse and Tim Hines, known for their success with Monse’s Pupuseria with business partners Humberto Cabrera and Rudy Ramos, are opening the sophisticated lounge with a familiar spin.

“We wanted to create a modern, cozy lounge that still feels true to Colorado Springs,” said owner Tim Hines. “It’s a space meant for everyone — from tourists and business travelers to college students and locals. We aim to offer inviting, elevated atmospheres, and this one really sets the tone for what’s ahead with our other projects as well. A lounge should be a place to relax, connect, and feel at ease — and that’s what we hope to offer here.” 

The food menu will be made by Monse herself, featuring El Salvadorian flavors that Monse’s Pupuseria fans will be able to pinpoint. The menu features ingredients like chorizo, plantains, black beans, and jackfruit.

The public is invited to the grand opening occurring on Thursday at 9 a.m.
