New YMCA Comcast Connection Center provides free Wi-Fi

(COLORADO SPRINGS) — A new YMCA Comcast Connection Center opened on Friday, Jan. 31, in Colorado Springs., offering the community free Wi-Fi and a variety of services, classes, and resources to build skills in technology.

Located inside the Southeast Armed Services YMCA on Jet Wing Drive, the new center will offer courses for every age and level of ability, teaching courses like cyber math, basic coding, and programming, along with tutoring programs to help in English, math, and science.

“We really are excited to be able to provide another service and address a need in this part of the southeast community,” said Boyd Williams, President and CEO of YMCA of the Pikes Peak Region.

Comcast has established more than 100 Wi-Fi-connected Lift Zones across Colorado, including 16 in Colorado Springs. These centers are part of Comcast’s comprehensive 1 billion dollar initiative to advance digital opportunities and help build a future of unlimited possibilities.
