One arrested after allegedly cajacking victim at gunpoint

(COLORADO SPRINGS) — The Colorado Springs Police Department (CSPD) arrested a man after he allegedly stole a vehicle from a victim at gunpoint.

On Monday, May 12, at around 1:05 a.m., CSPD officers were dispatched to a carjacking, where a suspect had taken a car from a victim at gunpoint near 3100 East Dale Street, near Platte Avenue. Officers responding to the call found the stolen vehicle and attempted to stop it, but the suspect escaped.

Officers pursued the vehicle until it came to a stop in the area of Shelley Avenue and Longfellow Drive, near Airport Road.

The driver, Brett Wagner, was taken into custody on a warrant and new charges.
