One dead after rollover crash, fuel leak contained

(COLORADO SPRINGS) — The Colorado Springs Police Department (CSPD) has confirmed a person was killed in the rollover crash that occurred on Saturday morning, Oct. 26.

According to CSPD, the two-vehicle crash happened after 10 a.m. at I-25 and Martin Luther King Bypass (MLK) involving a heavy equipment service truck and a car. There were three people involved in the crash, one was pronounced dead and another was taken to the hospital in critical condition.

CSPD said the truck rolled over on its side and leaked fuel, however, the Colorado Springs Fire Department (CSFD) was able to contain it. CSPD confirmed there is no environmental impact.

I-25 southbound is closed on MLK and is expected to remain closed for several hours.
