One person burned after car fire near Motor City

(COLORADO SPRINGS) — One person has suffered significant burns after a car fire south of Downtown Colorado Springs on Thursday, Feb. 20.

The Colorado Springs Fire Department (CSFD) posted about the fire shortly after 6 p.m. and said when firefighters arrived, they found a vehicle fully engulfed in flames. CSFD said smoke may be visible in the area, and asked drivers to avoid the area.

CSFD said the fire was under control, however, one person was taken to the hospital with “significant” burns.
