(COLORADO SPRINGS) — The Colorado Springs Police Department (CSPD) said a suspect is in custody after officers were called to a stabbing in the evening hours of Wednesday, Aug. 28.
According to CSPD, on Wednesday, at around 8:15 p.m., officers were called to the 900 block of Zamora Circle near East Fountain Boulevard and South Academy Boulevard about a reported stabbing.
When officers arrived witnesses pointed officers to the suspect’s location in a nearby RV, officers found the suspect in the RV, while other officers tended to the victim. According to CSPD, the suspect got a broken nose and was tased while officers tried to apprehend them. Two officers sustained minor injuries and the suspect was taken to the hospital.
The victim was taken to the hospital with a stab wound to the chest and CSPD said the victim is stable.
The suspect was later taken to the Criminal Justice Center on multiple charges and multiple felony warrants.
