(PUEBLO, Colo.) — One person suffered life-threatening injuries after being hit by a BNSF train north of Pueblo on Wednesday evening, March 5.
According to the Pueblo Fire Department (PFD), BNSF called 911 on Wednesday to report that a person had been struck by a train. Crews with PFD, the Pueblo County Sheriff’s Office, BNSF Police, West Park Fire, Pueblo West Fire, and a UC Health Lifeline helicopter responded to find the person and airlift them for treatment.
According to PFD, the person was taken to the hospital for treatment of life-threatening injuries. No one on the train was hurt.
