(COLORADO SPRINGS) — Starting Sunday, Sept. 8, North Academy Boulevard will have overnight closures for three weeks between Voyager and Shrider roads for 2C repaving work.
Lane closures will begin at 7 p.m. and end at 7 a.m. daily to reduce traffic disruptions on the busy north-south corridor. Drivers should detour to East Woodmen Road or avoid the area. At least one lane in each direction will remain open overnight.
Milling operations are set for the week of Sept. 8, with asphalt installation planned for the week of Sept. 15. Work is expected to finish by the end of September, weather permitting.
The voter-approved 2C Road Improvements program funds the project, aimed at improving road conditions in Colorado Springs.
