(CAÑON CITY, Colo.) — According to the Cañon City Police Department (CCPD), a building partially collapsed in the 600 block of Main Street, between 6th and 7th Street on Monday evening, March 26.

CCPD said there were people inside during the collapse, but they were able to get out without any injuries. The building housed a business on the bottom floor and residential apartments upstairs. The building is being assessed for possible causes or structural issues.

Closures are in place and police are asking that the community avoid the area, if possible.
