(COLORADO SPRINGS) — A passenger in a car suffered serious injuries on Monday, Sept. 2, after several people were shooting at each other and a bullet entered the car, hitting the passenger.
According to the Colorado Springs Police Department (CSPD), officers responded just before 5:15 p.m. on Monday to reports of a shooting in the 2100 block of Delta Drive, just southwest of South Academy Boulevard and Chelton Road.
When officers arrived, they found a man with a gunshot wound. The man was taken to the hospital with serious but non-life threatening injuries.
CSPD said the investigation revealed that the man was traveling as a passenger in a northbound car when he was hit by the bullet. At this point in the investigation, CSPD said it appears that two parties were shooting at each other when the victim’s car was hit.
CSPD did not say whether any arrests have been made, though the investigation is ongoing.
