(COLORADO SPRINGS) — The Colorado Springs Police Department (CSPD) said the passenger of a vehicle was taken to the hospital with life-threatening injuries after a crash in the overnight hours of Monday, June 3.

According to Police, on Monday at around 11 p.m., officers received several calls to the 1100 block of Middle Creek Parkway near Voyager Parkway about a crash with an unconscious occupant.

When officers arrived they found a Tesla Model X had hit a parked Chevrolet Silverado with enough force to move it about 30 feet. The unconscious occupant was found to be a passenger in the Tesla who was taken to the hospital with life-threatening injuries.

Police said the driver remained on scene and cooperated with officers. Speed is believed to be a factor in the crash, the investigation is ongoing.
