(COLORADO SPRINGS) — The pedestrian killed in a crash on Saturday, April 20 at South Circle Drive and Winnepeg Drive has been identified as 25-year-old Aaliyah Marie Tipton by the El Paso County Coroner’s Office.

On Saturday, at around 10:30 a.m. the Colorado Springs Police Department (CSPD) was called to the area of S. Circle Dr. and Winnepeg Dr. south of Airport Road about a crash involving a vehicle and a pedestrian.

When police arrived at the scene, AMR and the Colorado Springs Fire Department were providing medical treatment to Tipton before taking them to the hospital. Tipton later died of their wounds at the hospital.

Tipton was identified by the El Paso County Coroner’s Office on Sunday, April 21. CSPD said Tipton’s death was the 17th traffic fatality of 2024, at this time last year there were 17.
