Pedestrian seriously injured near Old Colorado City

(COLORADO SPRINGS) — The Colorado Springs Police Department (CSPD) said a pedestrian suffered serious but non-life threatening injuries after being hit by a car on the west side near Old Colorado City on Wednesday, Feb. 28.

According to CSPD, just after 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday, officers responded to a pedestrian-involved crash in the 900 block of West Colorado Avenue, northwest of the I-25/Cimarron Street Interchange.

CSPD said the pedestrian was taken to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries, though the pedestrian did suffer serious bodily injuries. CSPD said the investigation revealed that the driver was at fault for the crash, however no arrests were made. Alcohol, drugs, and speed were all ruled out as factors in the crash.
