(COLORADO SPRINGS) — The Colorado Springs Police Department (CSPD) responded to a crash downtown after a person in a wheelchair was hit by a car on Tuesday morning, Feb. 27.

According to Colorado Springs Traffic, CSPD was responding to the crash around 10:50 a.m. on Tuesday, which happened near the intersection of West Bijou Street and North Cascade Avenue.

The vehicle left the scene and the victim was transported to the hospital with unknown injuries. Police are investigating.
