(COLORADO SPRINGS) — On Saturday, June 22 Phil Long Ford of Chapel Hills located at 1565 Auto Mall Loop is inviting the public to stop by its newly redesigned dealership and updated amenities.
Phil Long Ford said the dealership remodel was a $13 million three-phase project that was started in early 2022 and finished in May 2024. The redesigned dealership adds around 4,000 square feet of working space allowing for more space for display vehicles and better customer safety and comfort.
The building also received a facelift to the exterior, showroom, sales floor, and parts counter. The number of service bays has increased to 80, making it the largest Ford service facility in Southern Colorado. The customer waiting lounge features amenities such as a cafe, a self-serve snack bar, customer workspaces, and comfortable seating.
“We are so excited to have completed this renovation as we celebrate 25 years of serving our customers and community,” said General Manager and Partner, Chris Detone. “The whole remodel is designed around our customers’ comfort and satisfaction from the moment you walk in the door. We updated and expanded our parts and service departments for a more seamless workflow and added amenities in our customer waiting areas for a more friendly and relaxing environment.”
According to Phil Long Ford, the remodel included adding more green features such as LED lighting and an updated HVAC system to conserve energy. The service drive now includes high-speed doors, taking three seconds from open to close to minimize utility costs. Added to existing charging stations in the delivery bay and service and parts departments will be level-3 DC fast-charging stations outside of the dealership for EV customers to take advantage of.
On Saturday, the public event will feature music from the SofaKillers, the appearance of Pro Football Hall of Famer Randy Gradishar, and members of the University of Boulder football team, along with food and giveaways. The event runs from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. and is free to the public and no registration is required.
