Photos: Colorado Springs around 70% of total solar eclipse

(COLORADO SPRINGS) — Colorado Springs may not have been in the path of totality for the April 8, 2024, solar eclipse, but it was close enough to get some great photos of the event.

FOX21 News was able to watch the eclipse from the studio in some stylish glasses.

Were you able to view the eclipse? Not to worry if you missed it, the next total solar eclipse over the continental United States will be on August 23, 2044, according to a news report from Nexstar but will only be over three states. The next total solar eclipse over most of the continental United States will be on August 12, 2045, according to NASA.

Colorado will be in the path of totality in 2045.
